Cloud gaming is battlefield 2040 and Star Wars Battlefront 2 available on cloud gaming??

You can check the catalog in here to see which games are on Xbox Cloud Gaming, just set the filter to cloud. https://www.xbox.com/xbox-game-pass/games

I'm new to this whole thing, but I have Xbox, multiple controllers, game pass for cloud gaming. Local split screen games such as Phogs or star wars battlefront 2, when trying to "press a" for the second controller, it doesn't work. Does the game itself need to be installed for local coop to work? I figure it should work through the cloud, but it doesn't. Thanks.
