    Hi,

    Over the weekend, I noticed that I was unable to use the cloud game save functionality on my Windows 10 PC. This is on a clean install of 20H2 (19041.867).

    When I launch the game, it gets as far as the pop-up for the cloud save sync and then I just get the below:

    I just thought it was a issue for Octopath Traveller, but I'm getting the same issue for games like Halo MCC and State of Decay 2. I'm effectively blocked from using my saves on different devices.

    The only place where I can currently play games where they are in sync is on my xbox series x.

    I've tried reinstalling Windows, and recreating the user profile. I have also tried resetting all the xbox apps installed on my PCs to try and resolve it but I have hit a brick wall.

    Found the issue is caused by the APPX package Microsoft.GamingServices version 2.51.15001.0. Downgrading the package to 2.51.3002.0 has resolved the issue for me.

    Not sure if you can or not if your registered in the insider program/Windows Gaming preview. You will need to unenroll the affected device.

    Open an elevated PowerShell window and run

    Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.GamingServices | Remove-AppxPackage -AllUsers

    Reinstall Gaming Services from the store (or by opening the Xbox app as that will tell you a prerequisite is missing). The working version is 2.51.3002.0
