    Clips Coming out Too Dark or Not Playing


    Recently when I record a clip, it comes out extremely dark. This has happened before and closing and reopening the game has resolved it in the past. This time it won’t resolve. I switched to a different capture resolution to see if that’d change it and now the clip doesn’t play and is grey. Screenshots also come out clear.

    I’ve also had this similar issue with Twitch where streams come out too dark.

    Anyone have a solution to either of these? Or experience this as well?

    Hey there

    Are you playing on xbox one S or X with HDR ? HDR can make screenshots very dark or appear too be dark try turning off the HDR You can still capture in 4k without HDR you can also still capture in HDR and toggle the HDR off and on when you view the game
    clip for each clip. Settings Preferences broadcast and capture

    Something else too also mention is that the graphics in sea of thevies are very dark. For example the screenshot you took is at night and in a storm. The game makes it hard too see in this case on purpose has it isnt ment too be easy too see when sailing
    at night in a storm. So it isnt really a issue just the fact that yes its dark because thats how its been intented too be

    Yea, dude, I hope they improve on the online play in the next one, as the Online play on Dark Souls is boo boo. It was near flawless on demons souls, but they seriously dropped the ball on Dark Souls. But I'm excited for it though.

    Games make me their slave. I can never get away from them for too long thanks to some awesome game coming out and especially when multiple awesome ones keep coming out back to back.
