Clicking noise from Xbox one and unable to reset console e106 error code

i was playing my xbox this morning with no issues. Went away for a few hours and when i tried to start a game it froze. Now it makes a clicking noise and gives me a e106 error. When follwoing the instruction to reset the xbox it gets to 50% then freezes
and tells me something went wrong.

Is my xbox now scrap?

My xbox was getting the green screen of death so I decided to factory reset it. When I do it, it gets stuck on 66% and says something went wrong and gives me the error code E106 00000002 8007001f. I tried looking up error code E106 but I couldn't find anything
on it

Issue Buying BC Game Directly From XB1: L4D2

So I'm having trouble buying Stick Of Truth from the XB1 store on the console. I know you're supposed to be able to click show price and then go through the steps on buying it directly from the console. However, for some strange reason when I click show price, it brings up an error and tells me something like "you are unable to buy this game from the xbox one at this time. Please buy from the xbox 360 store" then it gives an error code. I've had no issues buying other games directly from the XB1. What's going on with this one?Click to expand...

Quick question, well two really. What was the error code? Did you ask google what the error code meant?

Also, if the xbox is having status issues that can cause stupid error codes to drop. Usually though once you google the code you'll know what the issue is, and if the issue isn't related to the internet, i'd still hit up status page for xbox just to make sure.

Which i'll do before i hit post. Xbox Live Service Status | Xbox Live Service Outage seems everything is normal right now, so hit us up with the error code, i'd try again though.

You will need a USB flash drive to format and a windows pc.

Hi, that clicking noise may well be the hard drive inside the Xbox slamming the read head onto the platter. There is no amount of troubleshooting that will fix that. By all means try the suggestions already offered but in my experience it's usually a case
of sending the Xbox in for repair.

Contact Us in order to set up a repair. They can go over the options available even if the console is not in warranty for the Xbox One Platform.

Tried that still doing the same thing error code E106 00000009 c0000102 dont know what that means

Error E106 occurs when you try to turn on your console

You see one of the following error codes when you try to turn on your console:

E106
E106 xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx

Note The “x” digits vary.

Solution

To resolve this problem, use the Xbox One startup error troubleshooter:

Go to the
Xbox One startup error troubleshooter.
Scroll down the screen and select E106.
Follow the instructions in the troubleshooter.
