console. If you're playing an Xbox One Enhanced game, your console will run a little warmer than usual. Those particular games require more

processing power. More processing power creates more heat that has to be cooled by the console's fan. The Xbox One X tries to do that with a

fairly "intelligent" fan control, where the console tries to run as silently as possible, but intermittently the console has to turn up the fan in short

bursts to dissipate the heat caused by the higher processing power.

If you can, I would suggest taking it back to the place that you purchased it. If they allow you to exchange it for another console, perfect!

They should be able to replace it since you only purchased it within the last 24 hours.

If not, you would be able to send it in for repair.

Hi, one thing I would check is to make sure that the console isn't blocked as far as ventilation and that the vents on the top are cleaned. Sometimes dust can settle in the vents on the top and this can block some of the ventilation process. I'd make sure
nothing is up against your console and blocking any of the vents/openings. Otherwise, this definitely isn't normal and may be an issue for Support but hopefully you can get it fixed without needing to send it in for repairs or replacement. Good luck!

It could be the bearings on a fan near the back of the console that could have gone so the fan is clicking on something like you say or its a little dirty inside....... try blowing in the back where the fan outlet is.

Hopefully its not a hard drive issue as the clicking could mean the drive is on its way out......

Is it a mechanical clicking? Like a HD trying to engage or a fan struggling to get started?
