    CJK text input method via keyboard in Edge browser?


    I got keyboard and mouse support in Edge browser in recent OS update.

    However there is no way to change keyboard input method to Chinese/Japanese/Korean, only English. I could only input CJK text using Xbox Controller, which is slow and stupid.

    Any fix?

    Can a mouse and keyboard be used on Xbox One?

    A keyboard can be used to navigate the dashboard and input text. Useful for messaging or surfing the web on Edge. I've never tried a mouse, but I would think the use would be limited. Neither can be used to control games.

    It will work straight away for text input during messaging and the likes.

    Every time the Xbox would show a virtual keyboard on the screen for text input, the keyboard will work.

    As for games, the game has to be specifically made to support keyboards.

    Not all games are able to use keyboards.

    For example Fortnite and Minecraft are popular examples for games that work with an USB Keyboard and USB mouse.

    I believe all games that require text input (e.g. username/password) will work with a keyboard for that input. You're able to type using the keyboard and that's about it.

    There is an option to insert text through the smartglass app. If you're on a forum thread via your xbox one, just move your cursor over the green rectangle box and select it. Then the on screen keyboard should appear on your android device for you to input
    text.
