    Choosing what drive to install to


    Hello,

    I know this topic has come up before. Based on what I've seen, there is still no easy solutions.

    II have multiple hard drives in my system. For games, I install games to different locations based on the game type. I even bought a new SSD drive just for FS2020 since overtime I'm sure this game will exceed the 150 GB requirements it has now.

    I'm surprised that Microsoft has gone with an antiquated system assuming that everyone still installs games (in this example) all in one location. All other game laughers/storefronts that I use (about 6 right now) allow the user to choose what drive or directory
    each game is installed to.

    Realizing that Microsoft's PC game launcher is still labeled as "Beta", I'm sure we all hope that MS changes the install system. Does anyone know when/if they might change the install method to something more in line with the industry standard?

    In the Microsoft Store, when you install the game it will show which drive you want to install the games on
    Okay, I got another drive, but doesn't let me choose which to install the game on. I don't know what the issue is. Is there something else I can try?

    Go to settings, choose storage and that will show you what is installed on the hard drive.

    You should also then have the option to put a pin for the game on your home screen.

    Hello, I followed the steps, and now it half working. I have been able to choose the installation of Forza Horizon 4 on the D drive. But I'm still not able to choose the drive for other games.

    I tried with Halo 5, FH5 and sniper elite 5, none of them are able to be installed on D drive.

    Games will intall onto my C drive (the drive that has WIndows installed onto it), but now I can't choose to install games onto my D or E drive, because I deleted the WPsystem folders.

    How odd.

    Try to install it via the Xbox app Glabdoul, there you can choose the drive you want to install the game on.
