    Childs phone won't download games


    Daughters phone will not allow downloading of free games from the store. It is a 640 wifi only phone. Used to work fine for her.

    She has an xbox account which is weird to me. We didn't set up her gamer tag, neither of us can remember. The gamer tag has been changed even.

    Phone says to go to family settings and change permissions but there is no option when I sign in there...

    Xbox market place thinks I am a child or teen but my account says I am an adult.

    I tried to download the legend of spyro a new beginning but it won't let me because it says I am a child or teen but my account says I am an adult. I am trying to download it from my phone on the main site could that be the problem. If anyone can help
    that would be great.

    I have an account that is not a child accout. I am over 18. It still won't let me download M rated games. Such as Fable 3 for free. Help!

    Have you figured out your issue yet? If not, have you tried logging into you primary account to edit your family settings?

    *Backwards compatability issue*

    Until the child account is migrated to an adult account at the age of majority for the region you are in, you won't be able to download the content. The game is rated M for mature in the US and designated for 17+ years old and above. Other regions may be
    more restrictive.

    There isn't any way around except to use an adult account. The only people having this issue are people trying to download an M rated game with a child account so the system is working as intended.
