    I bought the Halo: Master Chief Collection today for my daughter's Steam account so we can play together. Unfortunately, she is unable to login into her Microsoft account where it states that "your parent has blocked access to games and apps that aren't published by Microsoft." Which is VERY odd since 1. this is a Microsoft published game, and 2. she's launched plenty of other games like Minecraft (logging in) just fine; as well launch and play others from Steam like Deep Rock Galactic & Left 4 Dead 2, and others from Epic such as Moving Out.

    It tells me to uncheck the block or enable at https://account.live.com/mk ,but for some reason I don't see the option to do so. It keeps taking me to the Microsoft Family Safety page. I click on her overview, and still don't see the option for enabling 3rd party apps. If I select "Manage Consent" it just takes me to the defautl Manage Permissions page...which my only option is to just view the same family settings.

    I contacted Microsoft where they even remoted in to see the problem, but for some reason they couldn't figure it out either and just opted to tell me to contact XBox.

    Please, can somebody PLEASE help me get past this issue?

    See that doesn't help me though. I've ensured to test out other products rated E-M through various launching means, and for some reason the actual MICROSOFT PUBLISHED GAME (despite if it's loaded from Steam) is not wanting to work. If I was able to easily "check or uncheck" the Blocked third party/Non Microsoft published app as what that message states that I should do, I wouldn't bother to bring this up. However, that option from the family settings either the microsoft family safety and XBox Family apps, it's not simply there!

    I mean, what else should I do? Pay for XBGamePass for PC on for her account to only see if something like Gears of War 4 or even the Halo MCC specifically from that app will launch for her? After I paid for the MCC from Steam??? It shouldn't matter as long as I give permission (or be able to) and she uses the same Microsoft account.

    Something on either Microsoft's end, or Easy Anti-Cheat is preventing me to do so as Halo Infinite clearly launches with no problems.

    Just tested, my child was able to launch (from steam), login, and play two matches of Halo Infinite without any hinderances.

    I then downloaded the XBgaming app, and ensured that her content settings were allowed to go up to 18+ (Halo MCC is rated M), and still no luck. same message about 3rd party apps being blocked. I noticed on the app it stated exceptions for apps to be allowed (we have Spoitfy, XBox Beta, Minecraft for example). Is there a way to allow Halo MCC to be an exception then?

    Sorry but, did you confirmed that it's like that or you just believe it's like that, you need to confirm the information and look for the settings on the 2nd column

    It should be related to the game permission to access the account information, you probably denied the access to the information when requested as it would have requested it, be sure also to be logged with the same account on the Xbox app, you can see the apps that have permission to access account information here

    Please uninstall the game and install it again, check for permission for easy anti cheat app also
