Child isn't able to use Xbox live AFTER parental permission granted

I paid the $0.50 parental permission fee and now my son can't sign into Xbox live. We're done all the work we were asked to do. When he signs in it said the account is associated with another account already and to use a different one. This doesn't make
sense. What am I missing or what is the work around so he can get signed into Xbox live?

Parental permission

My child cannot log onto xbox live. Says he needs parental permission. I log on and find no where to give him permission!! Not sure what to do!!

Cant download Tron: Evolution from Games with Gold

It is the issue one that error only comes up when a child account does not have the permissions to download the contrnt

Setting your account to adult is not changing your child account to an adult

It's telling you you cannot download it because you need to use parental permissions which only work on the xbox 360

You also.need a creditcard to.download.the content

Xbox one permissions do not work with 360 games

As mentioned you need to use an parental account or use your xbox 360

Hello Carlo,

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. From the parent account, you should be able to adjust the content rating that the child account can access :

Grant an exception to your child’s content limits on Xbox One

Have your child sign in to their account on the Xbox One console.
Locate the content you want to allow your child to access.
On the Choose who will give permission screen, select the account of the adult family member who's providing permission.
Enter the adult’s account email address and password, or the console’s passkey.
Select either Always or Just this once (or only
Just this once if your account is not on the console).

After you give permission for your child to use this content, they can open the content immediately.
