Child cannot play Minecraft online with PS4

If you log into your profile on Xbox.com or Microsoft.com you maybe able to find the settings that are blocking it. Part of the reasons they do this is as a safety measure between the companies since both Xbox and PlayStation have different EULA and Terms
and Conditions. Unfortunately I am not aware of exactly which setting it would be to enable this feature to work properly, but this error "You cannot add friends because of how your Microsoft account is set up. This can be changed in your privacy & online
safety settings at aka.ms/accountsettings. " that you got seems to point that it could be something like just finding the right settings. If you cannot find the settings, a quick stop by https://beta.support.xbox.com/ would be the next step in the
process and if you tell them the error message you got, they should be able to find the setting that is blocking everything.

For rules regarding PS4 service you should contact their support or post in their support forums.

Message that appears states this:

This makes me think it's not a PS4 issue/setting, but a MS setting.

No - this is 100% a microsoft issue. How one company can get simple account management stuff so wrong, so consistently is beyond me.

I'm having to wait a month because I had to update my privacy device settings. 1 month. This is like Oracle levels of atrociousness.

I guess once I can actually access my account I might be able to get it to work but I'm just tempted to give it up as a bad job and get the child to play something that is written by a company who actually have coders able enough to write something that
is up to scratch with gaming in the 21st Century/

The only thing I could think of would be the Xbox One Privacy and Online safety settings. Try going to here. https://account.xbox.com Login, and then go the Privacy and online safety,
then you should see three options. I'd suggest looking over all the settings there, but the one I think you need will be the the Xbox One/Windows X online safety. Hope this helps you out some!
