Child Accounts Unable to use Gold Membership on Parent Account

Good day,

I have a child account that cannot access the my parent account which has Live Gold membership. Child account trying to purchase a game but it will not allow using the Gold membership price. Also unable to download free games via the Gold membership. Xbox
One is set as the "home" box for both child and parent. So why is it that the child account appears to have no access to Gold?

New to Xbox, question about gold

So new to Xbox one and got my son one for Xmas. Have two accounts (a parent and child account) setup. If I purchase a gold membership for the parent account does the child account get to use it too? Does the parent account have to be signed in for the
child account to use it? Seems like the digital content we purchased requires the parent account to remain logged in for the child account to play them, wasn't sure if this worked same way. Thanks

DOWNLOADING CHILD PROFILE

My son is using my Windows Live account to sign into the x-box console. (I have a Gold Membership) Can I download his "child" Live account to the console and him still get to use the year Gold Membership I loading in my "parent" account???

He really does not like playing with his friends on my profile and gametag.

The Home setting will allow other profiles to access gold in order to play online multiplayer. In order to access gold deals, you would need a paid gold subscription on the account.

Hello, what you can do is set your account as the Home account and add the Live membership to it. Then create an account for your child using yours as the parent and then add the account to your Family.

Once done the Gold membership and any game you download will be accessible by your child.

You cannot change the parent account for a child account, nor the parent of a family pack membership (in case that is what you were referencing) as the family Gold membership is no longer available, but will be replaced with a new feature soon.

You say you bought Gold online. Did you buy the family pack or just a single membership? You also say the parental account and the child account is the same?? You cannot have a child account and parental account on the same gamertag. If you have two gamertags
did you buy gold for the correct account? If not then why you cannot connect to Xbox live with the child account. I don't think its possible to transfer Xbox live gold memberships between tags.I would also check the parental controls to make sure that it is
not blocking the Xbox Live connection for the child account. I would also recommend going to this link support.xbox.com/.../contact-us and chatting with someone in the billing and accounts
department , or calling them at 1-800-4-MYXBOX.

This means you are using a Child Account which is unable to make purchases or downloads of M-Rated (18+) titles. Even if your parents have given you permissions, the Xbox One and Xbox 360 operate on different marketplaces. There are only two ways to download
the game in this case: 1) Have a parent account with it's own Gold membership (not Shared) sign in and download the game OR 2) Download it from an Xbox 360.
