    Greetings,

I have two child accounts linked to this organizer account and we are trying to play Minecraft together via crossplay with our Xbox One and my PC. I am able to add their accounts as friends on Xbox Live, and am also able to join any world currently running on the Xbox via my PC over LAN; however, when attempting to access a world running on my PC via the Xbox over LAN, both of the child accounts host the message "You cannot play on Realms because of how your Microsoft Account is set up", despite having set both child accounts privacy settings to allow access to multiplayer. I have signed out and signed back into the accounts after updating settings to no avail.

As far as I am aware, I have looked through every nook and cranny of the family safety settings I have access to and cannot find anything else that would unlock multiplayer availability over LAN. None of our three accounts have Xbox Live Gold membership.

Thank you in advance for the assistance!

    :)

    Online Privacy Settings

Your account sounds like it may well be set as a child account. In which case, you will need the parent account to alter your online privacy to allow multiplayer access.

Unable to play multiplayer in specific games (FIXED)

Check your NAT settings. It needs to be set on Open to be able to play multiplayer.

You also need to go to your privacy and online settings under your account on the website to change your multiplayer settings to allow.

Keep in mind that only adult accounts can change these settings as child account is unable to change them.

    Hello,

To change your Microsoft account privacy settings, sign in to the privacy & online safety page, which you should be able to access through the page you’re referring to. You can also make these changes on an Xbox One, Series X|S console or through the Xbox Family settings app.

When adjusting any account settings, make sure to select “submit” to confirm and save these changes.

Note: If you’re using a child account, you’ll need an adult in your family to sign in to their Microsoft account to change your privacy settings.

After allowing the necessary privacy settings and you’re still unable to play online multiplayer in Minecraft Realms, here is a Multiplayer troubleshooting page:

Hope this helps, happy gaming! :)

Thanks for checking on that CelticsNationGo.

Are you by chance using a child account? If so, please have the owner of the tied parent account verify that your privacy settings allow you to access online multiplayer.

Which game is it and have you got your privacy settings set to allow for online multiplayer games?

Go to settings,, account, privacy & online safety, Xbox live privacy, view details & customise, communication & multiplayer and ensure you are set to access friends game request.

If you are using a child account, you will need an adult in your "family" to alter any settings.
