Child Account settings not updating

I appreciate the quick response. The call center was not good. I work in one and know that it can be difficult, but that was horrid on all fronts.

Mostly mad because the Xbox OneS was supposed to be something fun for the kids, but my oldest now can't even play online on his account... sorry, but a
[Mod Remove - Profanity] setup that it wouldn't mirror the xbox 360 settings for stuff that simple.

When making changes to a child's account settings, the child then needs to log off the console and back on for the changes to take effect.

has caused. We are looking into this type of situation currently. It seems others are having issues saving changes to the child account through the parent account.

We understand you have added the account to your
Family already.
Only a parent using the Microsoft family service can change Xbox privacy and online safety settings for a
child account.

Change privacy and safety settings for you or a
child - On the Xbox

1. Sign in to the adult's Microsoft account at Xbox.com.
   • If you’ve forgotten your account email address or password, see the
     Lost Account Solutionor
     the Lost Password Solution.
2. Under
   My Xbox, select
   Profile.
3. Select
   Privacy settings
   or
   Online safety on Xbox One.
   • Due to the secure nature of these settings, you may be asked to enter a security code that we’ll send to the alternate phone number or email address previously
     saved to your account.
4. Select the account you want to look at.
5. Review the settings currently in place and update those you want to change.
6. Save your changes on each tab before moving on to the next.

Give this a try then have the kids try to access the game or account in question.

keep in mind that once an age is set it's permanent. If you were not an adult account previously and just changed your age the system won't recognize it. This is to prevent kids from just changing their ages to bypass stuff.

With that said, You may have to try another browser to see if it works there.
