    So, from my research, no one can help parents recover their child's account? The recovery process doesn't work for parents. I only just set up one a month ago and the email has never been used so i can't provide that information in Microsofts recovery. I only ever used one password and i apparently can't get it right to log my son back in. I receive info about his activity but i can't recover his password???? Maybe Microsoft should allow parent account to recover their kids accounts automatically. Perhaps that would fix half the lost kids account taking up space on your servers. I get taking it seriously, but if we can see and control what our kids do, maybe we should automatically set up as the account recovery admins too?

    Child Account Password Recovery

    Hello there,

    Since they are attached to ghost accounts Xbox will need to verify your information to ensure you are managing them so they can then provide you with access. Therefore you will need to contact them by phone and here are the numbers

    support.xbox.com/.../contact-us    .

    If you do not wish to hold you can utilize a feature they have to request a call so they can contact you. You should be able to access it by visiting this page here. Click Billing & Memberships > Under Microsoft Account click Need help getting access to
    your Microsoft Account > Request a Call.

    If you do not have access to the parental account, you are not able to remove the child account from the family. You must recover the account or set up another account for the child. Below you will find a link with additional recovery steps.

    My children's accounts have been locked and it won't let me unlock them

    The recommended way is to use parent account password for account recovery. You will see the option of PARENT ACCESS on your child device. Here you will input the passwords of your device. The device of your child must be switched on and has an active internet connection. Then follow the process on the screen. Hope it will serve the purpose.

    Thank you for posting on Xbox Forums! just to clarify, when you were trying to recover the account through the website, did you happen to see an option that states, "I don't have any of these"? If so, I would click on that option and then continue on
    with filling out the ACSR form. For more info on

    Try this:

    • Log into Support.Xbox.com
    • Scroll down, Click on Contact Us
    • Step 1: Click on Ask a Question
    • Step 2 : Select your Product
    • Step 3 : Select your Issue
      • Select – Call me back
