Child account preferences not working

We do not have an XBOX, as the post says he is on a PS4 using the microsoft account for crossplay. I have been in those settings and this is what this post is about as they arent working. ive changed all of the settings as you say but it still gives me
the same message.

Thank you for your reply. Not going to lie, I have no clue what you just suggested. But we have two accounts, one parent and one child, UnaidedCanoe931 (The child account) and ScaleneSneeze78 (The parent account)... cool names, I know right. Could you maybe
explain a little more about what you meant because we already have two profiles right? I cant create new ones either because his Playstation account is linked to that account and therefore we cant connect another one. I cant get a new one because my minecraft
is connected to the microsoft account. Its two seperate accounts, one child, one parent

I believe you can only be logged into one account 'online' at the same time. It reads it as both accounts logged in at the same time and thats what makes the error. Now if you create another profile on one of the accounts and copy the save date over to the
new one it should then work perfectly fine. Now if you guys also at any point in time want to use voice chat too it may bring up a NAT type error as well. So in game chat maybe iffy.

They are pretty cool names. And your very welcome on the reply. But more as to what I was saying was.

Allot of times that error code might pop up when your both on at the same time because it'll read both the accounts as active and online at the same time. In other words. It doesn't want two of the same users logged in and playing at the same time. No matter
its a sub or parent, That Microsoft logon more times than not doesn't let both be on under that same account at the same time.

Now, if you log into your Microsoft account ,online or on your phone, thats Minecraft is connected together on you can removed one of the accounts and that'll open it up for a new account on one of them.

What I recommend is that before you log out of one you save all your worlds and save files so that way when you log out it doesn't delete or move with the account.

Now also what you can do is migrate that Microsoft account to a Mojang account and that may help you be logged into both at the same time. The link I'm providing below should

Thanks for coming to the forums with your issue. We understand having an issue with child account settings. Were you able to look at the
privacy and online settings? We will give you the
steps to change the exact ones for the cross platform use.

1. make sure you are on the adult account
   
2. Once on the adult account, hit the guide button on controller(Xbox symbol that lights up) this pulls menu on the left side.
   
3. Scroll right to the gear looking icon, go to settings.
   
4. Once in settings, you will be on account go to family settings.
   
5. Then manage family members, choose the one you want to change and select privacy and online safety.
   
6. Then choose Xbox live privacy.
   
7. You should see the options, child, teen, adult, view details and customize, contact preferences.
   
8. Go to view details and customize, then communication and multiplayer.
   
9. The two you want to make sure say allow and everybody are:
   
   1. "you can play with people outside of Xbox live" set to allow
      
   2. "you can communicate outside of Xbox live with voice and text" set to everybody
