    Child account not updating to adult account


    Hello. I turned 18 today. My xbox account is still not updating to an adult account. As far as I know there is no adult account attached to my xbox account (or, at least, it's not logged into our xbox one, nor is it logged into my PC). None of the adult
    features are accessible. My only theory is that Microsoft doesn't actually respect timezones and doesn't consider me to be 18 yet. If not, how do I update my account to adult?

    I can't sign in.

    If your child is not an adult account, being a child account when created, and never promoted to an adult if you are of age, then it will require the parental email to sign the updated TOU.

    There is no way around this.

    Hey there Seemanator thanks for the update.

    We suggest signing into the adult account and from the adult account give the child account permissions. Go to settings>account>family settings>select the child account>Privacy and online safety and from there select adult settings.

    Once that is done go to the child account and try it again and let us know how it goes!

    I have an adult account which I have tried to register as a child on xbox.com and they have taken the money 50p from my account but have not updated it's status. Therefore I cannot put restrictions on the account. It seems my only option is to delete it
    but I don't understand why it's not registering as a child when the birthdate is a childs and they have registered that they have taken payment???
    You cannot change an Adult account to a child account. The 50p charge is to change a child account to an adult account

    The update from child to adult account will be in automatic when the servers calculate that the account is 18+ of age. Till then your parental account can give permissions to your child account
