    Child account & fvisting friends settings


    Hi, I hope someone can point me in the right direction.

    I've included as much info, as I thijnk the problems are interlinked.

    We have mine and son's child account with Xbox Live.

    We have 2 friends of child account over at different times usually. 1 has Xbox but not live, 1 doesn't

    Normally play Forza 7 ( I think the one that was avaialble free with XBL) Forza Horizon 3, Roadblocks and Minecraft

    We made some adjustsments having spoken to Roblox.

    We'd like to be able to use both controllers without passkey (seems like this, but might be the games themselves)

    I'd like to allow the above games to be used without my password and without me present as I am usually at work when they come after school. I can see where they are added, but not how to do it.

    I hope I've included all the info. I seem to ahave go in a never endeding loop.

    I'd apprecaite step by step guide due to my lack of knowledge (sorry)

    I've relaxed Adult levels to try so would like to add that back in and all friends request come to me, and how to accept it.

    Xbox One Child Account Information

    Microsoft gives the parents the control over what their kids play, you go into settings, and you can set up the child settings and restrict what ratings for movies, tv shows, music, and games can be accessed by the child account. If you want your child to play a game that's rated M, then set it to that. Want the child restrictions turned off, then do that. The power is in your hands.

    You are allowed change the online safety and privacy settings for any profile on your console.


    How to change your safety and privacy settings

    Steps to follow:

    • First, you have to go to the My Account page
    • You need to sing in to your Xbox LIVE account clicking Sing In at the upper-right corner of the page.
    • Go to Settings and Preferences and select Privacy and Online Settings.
    • Now change the settings.

    How to change your child’s safety and privacy settings

    Steps to follow:

    • First, you have to go to the My Account page
    • You need to sing in to your Xbox LIVE account clicking Sing In at the upper-right corner of the page.
    • Proceed to Settings and Privacy and press Child.

      Note: You’ll be asked for the parental Microsoft account in order to make changes to the child account’s safety settings.
    • Now change the settings.

    Sorry to hear it. If your account is set as a child account then only the parent account can update the settings to allow friending online.

    Hello, most of the time this can be because the child account settings are actually set so that the children cannot add/accept friends on xbox live due to age restrictions. This is something that you can fix within your family settings/child account settings.

    Yes this has to do with your privacy settings and or your friends privacy settings. And if it is a child account then it may be blocked.

    Hello!!

    Jameser is correct. You may want to look at the parental control settings and set the child account to block online interactions. I believe it will prompt you before any friend requests are sent to the child account (not certain though as no one has tried
    to friend my children) and it blocks the incoming messages.
