Child accidentally deleted parent account on xbox one

HI, My child accidentally deleted my parent account from his xbox one. Is there any way to reinstate my parent profile as he is now restricted on certain things he can do? He of course does not want to loose any progress from his games mainly fortnite
as he cant remember his password. Thanks

    :)

Parental Acccount does not exist, TOU Agreement

I accidentally deleted the parent account, not knowing that it WAS the parental account and I have no idea on how to get it back or change the settings for my child account

I had this issue when I accidentally deleted the parent account (though I restored it later).

    My solution (Xbox 360):

    1. Re-link the child account to a parent account on Microsoft family (parent account's age must be over 18), if not yet linked. Ensure that when the child account is added to the Microsoft's family system, the child account is added as a child.

    2. Ensure that the child account s age is under 18

    3. Ensure that the child account does not possess any payment options (credit card, debit cards etc.). If so, remove all payment options.

    4. Set up the parent account's Microsoft Account options to ensure that it is a valid account. If possible, also try to add a payment option for the parent account.

    5. On your Xbox, delete any profiles associated with your parent and child account (Main menu > Settings > System > Storage > Hard Drive > Profiles > (Select profile) > Delete)

    6. Sign in to the parent account on your Xbox, followed by the child account.

I believe this issue has nothing to do with an invalid parent account, in fact I think it s caused by an invalid CHILD account, just that the Xbox error handler doesn't have an error for invalid child account. I tried to tackle this problem before by using
another Microsoft parent account, but that didn't work, so I changed the CHILD account s settings and viola!

Not quite sure if the steps above can be replicated on an Xbox One, but the fundamental concept should remain the same (modify child account).

Yep, just sign in/re-download your profile, all is good.

So there are a few things we might be looking at.

They might have reset the Privacy and Online Safety Settings, which would reset the restrictions for the child account.

    That can be managed here
to allow what you're comfortable with as a parent.

If they deleted your profile off the console, it might have removed the family sharing features and you would simply
need to re-download the adult profile to the console.

If it was the Home Console, that might need to be reset as well, which can be done following the steps here.

But I have a feeling that's not exactly what's happening? Can you describe a bit more about what they are restricted on? How did you have the profile and accounts set up? I would beg that you work to recover
    the password of the account
in the event there is a larger issue and you need to recover that account, it's much easier to recover when you still have access to the account than after.

Even if your account was deleted from the console, it still exists on the Live service "in the cloud". Simply press the Xbox button on the controller, go all the way to the left, and in the profile section add your account again by providing the Microsoft
Account email and Password. Make sure you don't try to create a new account, but simply add your existing account.

As for the forgotten Password of the child account: try to recover it by signing in on any Microsoft Account website (e.g. https://account.microsoft.com ) and clicking on the forgot password link.

Follow the instructions to recover the password.

Be aware that game purchases and game progress are stored with the account, not the console! So if your kid loses access to the account, everything will be lost with the account!
