When I heard Microsoft was planning on banning 3rd party devices I was so excited. Was telling my friends finally after 6years of people CHEATING in video games we can finally LEGITLY WIN and get our DESERVED RANK in games like Rainbow six siege. However I just learned that Microsoft is not banning these devices.

I'm here to ask the community why?

So it's okay to CHEAT in FPS games for 6years

ITS OKAY TO BREAK THE CODE OF CONDUCT and rules of UBI, Call of duty? UBI states that MOUSE AND KEYBOARD adapters aren't allowed on console yet every match I play there's someone getting *AIM ASSIST* from there Cheating device. Rainbow six siege has no aim assist in game. Cheaters are able to have 5 different levels of aim assist with these devices. "SO THATS OKAY???" they just point and click NO RECOIL, TURN ON A DIME and bam your taken out every time 24/7 how is this fun for 6years? This has destroyed UBI reputation and many more companies. I been playing video games since I was 6 im 28 now. I wasted my life just for people to later on CHEAT in video games. I even reported such things back in 2017 this is why my main account got banned for trying to protect the gaming community from cheaters. Let's not have high egos and leave lame comments. I'll be posting this on X with a screen shot because this will be taken down. Even tho this should be talked about. Cheaters are allowed to get away with cheating and that's what were teaching right?

I hear that. I feel like accounts should be linked to SSN. So you can't make another one. This is the future.

We also rely on the reports from our community to help us identify and address the problem. Reporting players who cheat or use unauthorized devices is the best way to ensure fair and fun gameplay for everyone.

As SwordofWhedon mentioned, these devices ride legitimate controllers it is very difficult to simply ban them.

We appreciate your cooperation and we ask you to keep reporting any suspicious behavior you encounter in your games.

We'll leave this thread open for our other amazing and helpful volunteers and community members, just in case they have some insights or knowledge they want to impart. However, our team specifically will bow-out for now, since our findings is that this concern is beyond the reach of the community.

Free to play games are the most glaring examples, indicating this is a Sony and Microsoft level issue. People can report all they want and perhaps the cheater gets banned. Then they make a new account and continue ruining the 2 hour window I usually get to play at my level. Pubg, fortnite, Halo Infinite, etc. Infinite Smurf accounts come out of the woodwork after 8:30p; some with as low as 6 games played total, dominating the lobby by either cheating outright, or playing way over my level. I just want fair games. I have a long commute, a kid, chores. The little time I get to game is valuble, or I get frustrated and try different lobbies and borrow time from tomorrow. Please do something.

This is a matter of opinion!

I don't think cheaters should cheat because they're not really gonna get much out of it. It's like playing a game of Tag with tag backs but you tag somebody at a certain point and block tagging back, even though you're not allowed to do that in the first place! Things like this is what causes more issues than solutions. It just goes to show that people sometimes will be dumb. And why? To be dumb! It's the sad reality of gaming. There's always that one guy, that one guy, who decides to cheat because "wHy nOt?".

it has always been against terms of service to use unlicensed controllers. That does not mean third-party controllers, it means unlicensed.

there is nothing stopping these companies from applying for a license and incorporating the security chips into their design
