Cheaters in Halo 3 matchmaking stripped me of my ingame experience.

So was I, (refering to the headline) when I searched in matchmaking with a friend. He had encountered these cheaters before me, so when we found them "2v2s" in the "MLG playlist", he suggested that I should quit and see if that could countermeasure the xp
loss to zero. So I did, without any effect unfortunately.

As Blajnd said; there are loads of other people in "Halo 3 matchmaking" that have had hours of gaming "experience" reset in just seconds after they met these guys.

I think this means multiplayer vs?

For me the best MP FPS experience has been Halo 3 and Halo Reach. Its the only 2 online multiplayer games where cheaters are pretty much non existent. The games are just so well balanced online with the matchmaking and there is an overwhelming amount of
online MP options. Especially in Reach.

Funny you mention that. Halo 2 is exactly how I started getting into xbox live. H2 was also my first Halo experience. I had played a few other games online prior to Halo 2. But once everyone talked me into Halo 2 and I finally checked out the matchmaking
multiplayer. I was hooked! Didnt care for the campaign but not knowing anything about the campaign didnt help much. I loved the TRUE matchmaking. Even to this day Halo is still one of the only series that has a TRUE machmaking that matches other players to
your skill level. I wish every game had this true matchmaking. Some have tried but none are as successful as Halo. I just loved the concept of picking a playlist (BTB) and instantly getting thrown in with 15 other players close to your level to keep the game
balanced. Brilliant idea. The only part that killed Halo 2 multiplayer for me was all the cheaters, glitchers, and other problems. Thats why I was so happy with halo 3 because all of those issues were gone. Even to this day I think I only had to report
1 or 2 cheaters in Halo 3. I havent had to report any at all in Reach yet. Adding the file share option to the game was also one of THE most innovative features for an online multiplayer. This helps fix bugs, cheaters, and any other issues in a game.

^ I started with Halo 2. Played the campaign 1 time and really didn't understand it. Played the matchmaking mp for 3 straight years and enjoyed it besides the cheaters.

Halo 3 truly was a unique and incredible experience with the co-op campaign and the very very well balanced matchmaking multiplayer. Plus cheaters ended up being almost non existent with the file share video system (best feature ever added to a game) However
H3 had a rough start which most people don't remember. Most was because of the Microsoft servers going down, but still it was a rough start. Still ended up being one of the best games on the 360 imo. I don't play the mp anymore but I still LOVE the Halo
3 co-op campaign.

Halo 4 is up there with Halo 3 IMO. The co-op campaign is excellent, co-op Spartan ops is a lot of fun, and the multiplayer is also a lot of fun. Plus the mp matchmaking seems to be working better and better each week with the recent release of the CSR.
The only few features I miss from Halo 3 are the English speaking enemies, Brutes, and Scarabs. Other than that I truly love everything about H4.
