Many of the Xbox Game Pass PC games contain achievements, if it's found that you obtained these achievements by non-legitimate ways, then there is possibility of, at the very least a Gamerscore reset. Not a big deal perhaps for a PC only player, but continuous
infractions would result in an account ban.

However, it's highly likely such a 'cheat engine' or 'trainer' won't work on the PC Game Pass version anyway. These kinds of third party cheat programs require direct access to the install location of the game. This would work with Steam, but it won't work
for the Game Pass version as the install folder is locked and encrypted. You can't get full control even if you change the ownership of the folder.

In short, if you want to alter the way the game works, cheat, or otherwise modify the game, the Steam version is the one to play.

With most games there is often a licence or terms of service that you agree to at the launch of the game and which can often be found in the main menu. I would look there to see what the developers/publishers have included and if there is anything in the
terms of service that could be breached.

Even then any cheat engines could result in a ban and are used at your own risk as you could be breaching the wider Terms of Service / Community Standards set
out by MS/Xbox.

You're not going to get banned for using Cheat Engine on a Single player game that you own which has nothing to do with other online players and doesn't affect their experience. its your game, your PC.

also cheat engine is Not only for cheating. it is a platform and lots of mods also rely on it.

I would not use any sort of cheats in-game as they might respond in a ban, however, if this cheat has no effect on the game or any users experience you might be alright but I recommend not to use any sort of cheat regardless.

That is pure assumption, and some of them not true at all.

cheat engine needs access to the game memory, not game location. and game location Is accessible, easily. and it Does work with Game pass version which is Not a special version, just the same game released on Windows store.

Steam is not the kind of platform you think it is, they are Not ok with cheating at all, achievement cheating included.

Steam is actually the leading platform in fighting cheating and cheaters with their VAC system.
