My headphone does not work correct anymore. it is connected to my console with 3.5 mm jacket. i hear the sound of the game loud enough, but the sound of the chat is to soft and can hardly hear them talk. I chanced the chat mix slider but has no effect. I
allsorreboot the system by holding the on off button for 10 seconds and even took the power cord off for a minute.Allddid not help to solf the problem.

The headphone was working correctly before, but do not know what changed.

Has anybody any idea what i can try next?

    Thanks a lot.

    :)

  2. Game audio through headset without adapter

When headphones are plugged into the controller, there should be an option to adjust the "headset volume" (which is the game volume through your headphones).

When headphones are plugged into the controller...

    • Double-tap the Xbox Guide button.
    • Go down to the "Settings" icon (picture of a cogwheel).
    • You should see a bunch of volume slider settings underneath the "All Settings" option.
      • Headset mic (on/off switch)
      • Headset Volume (slider)
      • Headset Chat Mixer (slider)
      • Mic Monitoring (slider)
    • Adjust "Headset Volume" to the desired volume level.
If you don't see all those volume options, your Xbox might need a simple
    power cycle
. Then you can try the steps above again.

The game audio through the controller works just fine with my pair of Bose QuietComfort 25 (QC25) headphones.

    Hopefully this helps!

  3. Xbox One S Controller 3.5mm Headphone Jack, No sound whatsoever

So i recently bought an Xbox One S, and for the life of me, I can't get any sound to come out of the One S controller through the headphone jack. I've tried all the settings in audio, devices, the controller itself and the volume controls which show up in
the settings tab when you plug a headset into the controllers headphone jack. I've heard that you can get chat and game sound through it, but I can't even hear myself through the mic monitoring slider or in an Xbox Live party. I bought a chat headset today
and the Xbox picks up on the mic so that works (Also tried with my computer's headphone port and it works), but no sound is outputted through the headphone port, not even with just standard stereo headphones with no mic. Any suggestions?

    Audio

    Hi there!

Getting game audio is dependent on what type of headphones you have. If you have stereo headphones and you plug into the 3.5mm port on the controller, you can access the chat mixer slider by pressing the Xbox button and select "Audio" in the System tab right
under Settings. From there, the second slider down titled "Headset chat mixer" is where you control how loud you want the game audio compared to the chat audio.
