Chat privacy settings per application?

Chat audio works from xbox one dashboard (ie: playback on voice message). As soon as i am logged into NHL 23, same message cannot be played and I cannot hear any players in game. Beginning a party allows me to listen to voice messages and hear anyone in party. Seems to be EA as other games do not disable game chat

I understand you need help on your audio problem from the game.

Have you tried reinstalling the game already to see if that helps? It maybe due to the game being corrupted for some reason.

If that does not help. try doing a reset of your console.

NOTE: This will remove the profiles on your console, make sure that you remember the email and password to your account.

No data or game saves will be lost doing this, everything is backed up to the cloud servers.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select Settings.

3. Select System.

4. Select Console info

5. Select Reset console.

6. Select Reset and keep my games & apps

This will also help sync the data on your console properly.

If other games are working fine, this has nothing to do with the console but with the game itself.

Sorry to hear about the issue. There were some Xbox Live Core Service issues yesterday that affected party chat and messaging. We believe those issues to be resolved at this point.

I understand that you want to be able to chat in the Roblox game however there is no chat bar.

I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

Please check privacy settings. Make sure that your privacy settings allow for chat. Go to the Roblox website, log in to your account, and navigate to the privacy settings. Make sure the chat options are enabled.

And then verify your age on the Roblox website.

Next is to check the prental controls. If your account is set up as a child account, parental controls might be restricting chat. The parent account/ organizer must customize your Privacy and Security settings and allow you to be able to chat and access multiplayer too.
