Chat mixer won't work

I understand that you are experiencing issues with your chat mixer that is greyed out.

I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

Please unplug the headset from the controller and then plug it back in. Because sometimes a loose connection can cause this issue.

And then power cycle the console. Kindly press and hold the power button on your console for 10 seconds until it turns off.

Unplug the power cable and wait for 10-15 seconds, then plug it back in and turn the console on.

Next is to check your audio settings. To do this please go to Settings > General > Volume & audio output.

Ensure that the audio output is set to Headset.

If the issue persist after performing the steps. Kindly use a different controller and test it out.

If you have another controller, try connecting your headset to it and verify if the chat mixer is still greyed out.

I just updated my controller and it now plays game audio through the chat headset that came with my One but I can't chat with it anymore. Any ideas on how I can fix this?

my controller is updated and the game audio won't work sometimes it will it just won't show the chat mixer option HELP

UPDATE.

I figured it out.

Hard reset the xbox with the headset plugged in. The new controller has the chat mixer turned all the way to chat and not to game . Put the mixer back to the middle and it works. Without the hard restart, the option to adjust the chat mixer is gone.

everywhere i went the microsof responds but it never helps 100% so i have no more hope the only thing i have to do is wait for an update

you can watch Mixer on a PC/laptop without having an account, but you won't earn sparks or be able to use the chat
