Chat audio going to TV instead of headset

My brother is having issues with his headset. When we try chatting online, he can’t hear me in his headset, but he can hear me from his TV. His mic is working because I can still hear him. We’re trying to figure out how to make my voice output go to his headset instead of his TV. He didn’t change anything in his Xbox settings, this is the first time this issue is happening. He has a Roku TV, I don’t know if that has anything to do with it

Go to audio setting on your console and select tv speakers for chat mix instead of headphones or vice versa.

Maybe if you send the chat audio to the tv instead of the headset - although I'm pretty sure that means you'll need to chat via Kinect.

If using headset for game audio and chat, mute the TV or any device your game and chat audio is coming through and make sure 'chat' is set to output through headset only. If you have your tv volume up in the background while you're on the headset there
will probably be echoing especially if you have your party audio set to output through your TV.

The OFFICAL Wireless Xbox Headseat is CHAT ONLY. There is no way to get game audio out of the headset.
