Charging Port / charging cable

Why is the charging port on the control and the charging cable so bad ?? We have two xbox controls that do not charge when we connect the charger cable.

However, when we move the cable back and forth then we get some contact to the control, if we are lucky.

Please replace these connectors on the controls into a much safer charging system, this are ridiculously bad cables and connectors you have now, there are much better connections to put there, SO JUST DO IT .

Considering that the controls costs a lot of money, so the connections should work much better than they do today.....

Wireless headset

I bought a wireless headset a couple of months ago and im loving it. Problem is out of nowhere it has stopped charging. The headset still works great, that is until it ends up running out of battery...Im not sure why it stopped charging i know the usb cable
is good and so are the ports i have checked it charges my generic battery that has the same charging port as the headset. Does anyone know why its not charging anymore??

Charging Port Problems

I've had the best battery life using Amazon Basics NiMH AA batteries and separate wall charger for the batteries for my controllers. A very minimal investment with a great value for what I'm getting.

If you have to jiggle the cable end to get it to work, that likely means the inside of the cable has become frayed from all of the insertions/removals over time, so you probably need to replace the cable.

You can pretty much use any other standard micro-USB cable, especially the ones used to charge Android phones. These cables are readily found at almost any shop, even the dollar store.

The USB port on my controller came loose or something. Now I have to position the charge cable in a certain way otherwise it won't stay charging.

Its not the battery themselves and it doesnt use a cord. Theres a battery charge kit that attaches to the front USB port and since it uses that port it provides its own. I dont think it malfunctioned since it stopped working exactly when i charged a bluetooth
headset.

Also my iphone charged fine using its charger and cable but wouldnt charge in the xbox using the same cable. It just seemed to stop charging the batteries.

So before i used the bluetooth charger i could charge anything using that port but now the iphone and battery dock doesnt work but the bluetooth charger and vape pen does. So it works but doesnt work, if that makes sense.

To recharge your Xbox Series X batteries, you will need a USB-C cable. The Xbox Series X comes with a USB-C port on the front of the console, which you can use to charge the batteries for your wireless controllers.

You can use a standard USB-C cable to charge the batteries. Make sure the cable supports device charging and has the ability to transfer data.

If you don't have a USB-C cable, you can also use an official Xbox battery charging kit to charge your controllers. These kits include a rechargeable battery and a charging cable specifically designed for Xbox controllers.
