Charging phone with XBOX

I’ve been trying hotspot connection with plugging my phone in cause it’s easier, and I was thinking, why doesn’t my phone charge when my phone is plugged in. I just think sinceI can plug it in into q plug in that can output electricity, I think I should
be able to have my phone charge.

You can charge your phone on Xbox (I charge my Bluetooth headset on it without problems), but it doesn't come back to do that. You may cause long-term battery problems.

I think this is something that makes sense to support, but there could be a good reason that this is currently not the case.

you do make a good point and would be nice if one of the usb ports wasnt a slow charge port

Maybe the next Xbox will do that efficiently, but I even struggle charging my phone via PC as well. They're just not made for it.
