Charges on my account that I didn’t make

I didn’t even bother talking to Microsoft customer support. I’d read too many comments about how useless they were with solving this problem. If the charges didn’t show up on my account but show on my card, then that’s a problem and I went straight to my card issuer. They immediately disputed the charges and gave me my money back. It just makes no sense how a card I’ve never used with Microsoft gets charged multiple times for 0.99. They still provide no answer for it.

According to the Fair Credit Billing Act (FCBA), if you didn’t approve the charges and didn’t add your kid as an authorized user, the charges are technically considered unauthorized and you’re only liable for up to $50 in unauthorized charges.

If a kid is making hundreds of purchases totaling thousands of dollars in a matter of weeks, there should be a way to flag as unusual activity and freeze the account until verified.

I’ve tried both a front and rear usb and it doesn’t make a difference. I’ve also tried to use a usb c charger for another device and that didn’t charge it either!

My son has a series S and has the same issue!

Why would you have reason to think somebody else has had access to your account? Are there charges associated with it you didn’t authorize?
