This has been the worst experience regarding a technical issue i have ever faced in my life. So i am subscribed to xbox game pass and xbox live gold membership and the due date for payment was supposed to be 22nd December but due to insufficient balance
in my account the payment was failed. After I deposited money in my bank account, the money was debited on 30th of december and i have a bank statement for the transaction for both the xbox game pass and live gold. However in my order history it doesnt show
up and it says payment failed on 22nd december. I am not able to play my subscribed games as the service has been suspended for my account even after the amount was debited from my bank. I tried to report the problem online but there is no section for such
an issue and all i was left with was a virtual assistant who doesnt have a solution for the problem. There is no way to contact the customer support via chat or call and it is after i did not have any other option that i had to post on this forum. I am a working
man and i do not have the time to go through microsoft's website for solutions or posting my problem on forums and wait for answers,. Even smaller firms have the ability to provide for an online chat support or call centers but i am absolutely furious with
microsofts support center. Sadly there is not much customers can do about it. I hope the people at forums are responsible enough to solve my issue properly.

Was the charge for Xbox Live or Game Pass? If so, when you sign up it's for a subscription/service that auto renews. This is similar to most other subscription services such as PlayStation Plus, Netflix, Sirius XM, etc. Once you subscribe you just have to
turn off auto renew to not be charged again. You can easily do that at account.microsoft.com then services & subscriptions.

You do know all this was listed in the terms & conditions you agreed too before signing up including auto renewal, keeping your payment details up to date and how to go about cancelling the service right? The system wasn't to know you wanted to stop using
the service as you hadn't told it that you wanted to stop hence it trying to charge you.

Am I sympathetic that you're on welfare? Yes but if this has renewing for months now how have you only just noticed?

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. I'd be happy to answer that.

When subscribing to Xbox Live Gold using either a credit/debit card or a pre-paid code, you are given a warning that the subscription will auto-renew and charge your payment method on the account after the 1 month period is over, unless you either turn off
the auto-renew or cancel the subscription yourself from https://account.microsoft.com/services/ before the subscription auto renews and charges you. When subscribing, you
can choose to turn off auto renew right away or leave auto renew on. As with any subscription service no matter the service, you would need to turn off any recurring billing yourself from your account in order to stop recurring charges. All of this is stated
under the
Payment Terms section of the Microsoft Services Agreement.
