Character dialogue isn't recorded

I would do a recording via the Xbox Game bar on a Windows 11 PC, and the mic audio as well as the rest of my gameplay audio works. But, when cinematic parts of the games come up, the character dialogue is either 1) completely gone, or 2) very muffled, quiet, and not able to be heard. Issue seems sporadic as well; sometimes it doesn't happen, but other times it does. I do not do anything different between when it does and does not happen. Plus, the rest of the audio during cinematic parts is fine. You can still hear the environment and other background noises, it's just the character dialogue. I've tried adjusting audio settings, restarting my computer, updating the xbox game bar, and more. Nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?

Does it happen to all of your games? Maybe it's a game issue if that only happens to a particular game.

Have you also tried to reinstall Game Bar?

Imo GTA 4 was the crappiest AAA title I've ever played. Graphical pop-ins, bad dialogue synching, character controls, lackluster online, you name it. So disappointed in GTA 4. For the record I played it on the ps3....

Tks. Needed to have Game Bar open to click and drag the active recording dialogue. Couldn't move it while recording without GB overlays active.

I think it's just the issue we were speaking about last night, Arkham, If you limit the characters to only four possible choices, the problem that votemarvel is talking about isn't there. It's only an issue if you say, have a pool of 16 possible characters
of different races and can select your party of four from those 16. Each additional character adds complexity to the dialogue, the animations, and the scripting.
