ChannelMaster / PrimeDTV issues

I have a ChannelMaster CM-7001 OTA receiver. It is supported by the Xbox One (according to the Xbox One).

The issue with it, whenever I watch TV, the audio and video is continuously pausing. It is unwatchable.

It is currently outputting stereo sound. I have tried to output 1080i, 720p, and 480i. The problem doesn't persist when I output 480i. When any of the others are selected, the TV signal is unwatchable.

I also have another OTA receiver (PrimeDTV phd 208). This receiver's audio and video is fantastic when played through the Xbox, however--the Xbox doesn't support sending remote commands to it

I don't want to purchase another OTA set-top-box unless I know it will work well.

Can someone provide any guidance? Has anyone gotten either one of these set-top-boxes to work properly with the Xbox?

Okay, the DVR came in, my brother and I set it up, and it is absolutely fantastic! We also picked up a 4TB external HDD to store the shows, so we won't really have to worry about space being an issue. We've already programmed it to record all of our shows
for the next 2 weeks, and tested it this evening with the Toy Story Christmas Special (which had Battlesaurs in it, which was awesome) as well as Flash and iZombie, which sadly were reruns due to the holidays and all (the good news is we can set it to not
record reruns).

In case you're curious, the DVR we got was a ChannelMaster+

 

I had toyed with the CM-7001 (which is why it is in the TV hardware info forum) and although the station numbers were incorrect (as OTA is not supported at the moment) the video feed seemed fine. I assume you tested with the same HDMI cables?

Try IR code: 3039 for the Prime DTV box.

Wow, I would love to get the IR working for the Prime DTV Box at the video quality on it is great. I tried 3039 but it always changes it back to N3039 and doesn't work.

With regards to HDMI cable, I switched to this high-speed cable (per a recommendation on this forum). www.amazon.com/.../ref=wms_ohs_product

The IR code auto-switching seems a bit odd. Once the code has been entered does it switch back that instant or after a reboot?

 

I go to the Troubleshooting menu, select Enter Device Code and select Enter cable or satellite box remote code. When I do this, the remote code is auto-populated at N2360 for the ChannelMaster, and when I have one of the PrimeDTV models selected it is auto-populated
at N3039.

In either case, if I enter the 4 digit number (while removing the 5 alpha-numeric entry), and press Enter on the on-screen keyboard, it will not wait for me click Enter or Cancel on the two buttons. It just takes me back the previous screen.

This behavior is the same regardless of the tuner I have hooked up to the TV.

If I could get either of these working (ChannelMaster with anything above SD), I would be satisfied.

 

HDMI device recognition is something known about (and being looked into). The device identification should be not be modified except for after the make has been chosen/entered. I do find it quite odd. Are you doing this from Settings or 'first time setup'?

Yes please add support for the PrimeDTV PHD-208 or provide the remote code that I can enter please. I've been asking for this since the XBOX One launch. Also other people have been asking for this as well on the forum:

Also of note I tried the remote code of 00FF as listed here on the remote for the PHD-208 but that didn't seem to work.

It is now November and the phd-208 still isn't supported! Why is it so hard to get support for this box?

Sorry about the issues, somehow I had missed this thread on my previous trips to the forums. Bug filed to get this into the database.

 

So, before I go ahead and buy a couple of the PrimeDTV OTA/ClearQAM, can anyone confirm whether the 3039 code that is shown in the lookup table actually works?

 

I see it also shows code 4590 - is that one working?
