Changing Xbox Account Privacy

Are you using the adult account to change the privacy?

The "adultness" of an account is determined by the date of birth you entered when you created the account. You can't change that date after the account is created, and only if the account is over the age of 18 (in most countries. In Korea and a few others
it's 20) you are considered to be an adult.

In order to get your privacy settings set up, you will need the help of an actual adult with a real adult account.

So ask your parent to go to
https://account.microsoft.com/family and have them sign in with their own adult account. Before you try to create an adult account for yourself: The age is checked by billing a small amount from a credit card. So if you try to sneak your parent's credit
card into an account you created, your parents will see a charge on their credit card bill.

After your parent has signed in with their adult account, they need to add your child account to the Family.

When this is done, your parent has to go to
https://account.xbox.com/settings and sign in with their parent account again. After they signed in, they should see your account as well. They then click on your account and can make the necessary settings for you.

Tell your parents to save the settings before they move to the next category at the top (i.e. "online and privacy", "Xbox One/Windows 10" and "Xbox 360").

After all the settings are set up for your account, you need to sign out and back in to your account on the console or PC for the changes to take effect.

Really sounds like your account is set as a child account. If that's the case who ever owns the adult account associated with the account will have to make those changes.

I'm pretty sure it is. Is an account considered an adult if It is over 13 years of age? Because if so the answer is yes.
