    this microsoft support page details how to add and remove aliases from my Microsoft account. it also states that i can do as i want with my aliases and my licenses will remain linked to my Microsoft account. however, a few days ago, following the steps from the aforementioned page i added a new alias, made it my primary alias and removed my old one, every time i would log onto minecraft it showed both emails as valid login options but depending which one i choose it would give an error, still after a few attempts i could log on fine and play minecraft, but yesterday when i tried logging into minecraft the only option available was "play demo", logging into my Microsoft account on the minecraft site prompted me to purchase the game, even though i already had it, and i still have the transaction id to prove it. after this i tried adding back my old email and making it my main alias again (both aliases were gmail accounts, so the outlook permanent deletion thing didn't apply) but that had no effect on my situation so far.
    i had bough the game with my Microsoft account and never had to do any kind of migration, this is the first time I'm having this issue.

    So i created a microsoft account and redeemed a gift card code for minecraft java edition. Everything normal and i can play the game.

    Recently I have changed my primary alias of my microsoft account, which is the primary email, and then i deleted my old alias. Doing this made me lose access to minecraft account. Before I could play it no problem but now it says "Play Demo" in the launcher, meaning i dont have access to it.

    I hope I can recover the minecraft account with a transaction ID or revert back to the old email alias.

    Yes you can change the original email address. This process is called changing the primary alias. The primary alias is the email address that is used to sign in to the account. The article explains how to complete this process.

    thanks for the help but i have access to my microsoft account the hacker switched the primary alias and took my minecraft and xbox accounts and left me with nothing and microsoft made me make new accounts and made me buy minecraft again

    changing your primary alias    . If you are receiving that error message, it means the email address you want to use is already the primary alias of a Microsoft account. You must first log in to that account. If you need help

    resetting the password    , you can use our support article. Once you have logged in to that account, you can change the primary alias for it. After you have set up a new primary alias on that account, you can remove the email that you want from it. At that
    point, you can go ahead and use that email address as the primary alias of your main account. Be sure to let us know the results!
