Changing the Microsoft Account linked to my Xbox Account

Right now the most closest thing to that is remove your mom’s email address and create a new email for that Microsoft account
But keep in mind that this is going to permanently delete your mom’s email

Just to let you know, any kind of content transfer between Microsoft accounts can’t be made due to security reasons

Several years back, I got an Xbox One to replace my Xbox 360 but I didn't have a Microsoft account at the time, so, to create an account, my mom let me use her account.

Several years later, I know have my own Microsoft account, so I want to know if there's some way I can somehow unlink my mom's account inorder to put my one on. (Preferably without losing any of my saved data/progress)

You can but doing so would also permanently delete your mothers microsoft account irreversibly.

You can't change the email linked to the Xbox account without changing the email of the Microsoft account, as the Xbox account it's part of the Microsoft account and the Microsoft account it's the email that has currently linked

The link you are using is only for the xbox 360 and will change the complete Microsoft Account

Thank you for the feedback but i would like to keep my account for Xbox but change the Microsoft account linked to it. I do not want to link a new email to the existing Microsoft account
