Changing the email of old gamertag to current email which also has a gamertag.

Couple things first

If the New email address is a MS server email (@hotmail, @outlook, @msn, @live) there is no way to put that email onto a different MS account.

If it is not a MS server email then it is possible to be done.

Any game saves and purchases go with the accounts themselves so if you have ANY game saves or purchases will not carry over to the old account.

basically the steps im about to tell you will only change the email you use to sign into the account with everything else (passwords, security proofs, Subscriptions) Will all remain the same

So things are easier when telling you these steps we will follow this diagram:

A1- Old account with email you dont want anymore.

A2- New account with email you want on old account.

Now remember DO NOT do this if The new email is a MS account and you still use that account because if you remove that email from the account it will be gone FOREVER.

So follow these steps.

1. Sign into A2 at account.live.com/addassocid and choose create a new account and create a dummy email for that account

2. Make dummy email the primary email.

3. Remove Email that you want on A1 this will free up that old email IF it is NOT a MS server EMAIL

4. Sign out of that account.

5. Sign in with A1 at account.live.com/addassocid and choose add an existing email and put in that email that you just freed up from A2 and that will add that email as an alias to A2 now and you can make it the primary email on A1 and remove that other email
that you dont want anymore.

NOW REMEMBER DO NOT DO THIS IF THE EMAIL THAT IS ON A2 IS A MS SERVER EMAIL THAT YOU STILL WANT TO USE.

OK...when I sign in with my current email address, I get a gamertag of ENFIELDM1. I've never used that gamertag. My gamertag is MYKYLL 1, which I have had for over 20 years. All I need to do is get rid of that weird gamertag that is associated with my account. I now have to sign in with an old email, which has all of the messages there forwarded to my current email address, *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***. Note that I cannot delete that old email from my account, and use my current one, which I have used for over 10 years now. So it's a real mess. I'm afraid to just delete the ENFIELDM1 account, as it's attached to my current email...so frustration.

try to change your gamertag to another email that has your correct age and if you are underage you have another email of guardian in your current gamertag, if you change your gamertag to another email not erase neither you nor your games gamerscore.

my current gamertag is 2 years old, which is when i bought the xbox one ... i bought my 360 in 2011, but i lost my old gamertag email.

You cannot delete an account.

You can however change the email address associated with this current gamertag, which will free the your email address to use with your new/main gamertag.
