Changing region

Apparently my microsoft and xbox live rewards account are set in different regions. (Regions have always been finicky with my account)

Because I got a message declaring something was wrong with my account I contacted you guys before. The person who closed my question stated I needed to change the region of my microsoft account to UK since that's where my rewards account was designated or
something.

Isn't it possible to change the region of my rewards account (This so all my accounts are accurate in Belgium which is my country of residence) If I do not change the region, how will this affect the transition to Microsoft rewards? Will I be cut off? will
my account be forfeit? Would I have to start over (which is totally fine though)?

Well I wasn't phished. I know what phishing looks like.

My account was compromised however. I still haven't got my account back.

The odd thing is it still shows that I was logged in 5 hours ago when I got on my Xbox.

The last person I spoke with was saying my account became corrupt and basically saying I'm SOL though my investigation is still open.

yes this applies to ALL regions

the only option is to create a different account HOWEVER with the correct info for region locked content

as long as you keep the old account on the console you can still download and use the account and download purchased dlc

all dlc can be used by all profiles as long as the purchasing gamertag is signed in or on the purchasing console

2nd to take advantage of promotions you need to have an active creditcard in your region

other then using a prepaid australian membership card or ms points it is not possible to buy nz ms point cards on a australian account

In order to have the best experience on the marketplace, make sure that your account region and physical location match. Your account region was set when you first set up your Gamertag and can be checked by going to
https://billing.microsoft.com and clicking on “Personal Information”.

If you currently live in one of the newly added LIVE enabled regions, you can perform a one-time
region transfer on your account.
IMPORTANT: This region transfer is permanent and irreversible. Please make sure you pick the appropriate region and read all instructions before finalizing this transfer.

It is no longer possible to change the region of your Xbox Live Rewards account, since we have disabled new user registrations for your region. If you choose not to change your region, your deposits will continue to fail, and your Credits will remain in
your Xbox Live Rewards account. Since these Credits will still be in your account at the time of the transition, these funds will be converted into Microsoft Rewards points:

If Xbox Live Rewards is unable to deposit into your account for some reason, as long as you have not opted out to make the transition to Microsoft Rewards, any undeposited Xbox Live Rewards Credits and unredeemed MyVIP Gems will be automatically converted
to Microsoft Rewards points and be added to your Microsoft Rewards account to redeem for whatever you choose from the Microsoft Rewards catalogue. See the next question for when to expect your Rewards Credits and MyVIP Gems if you have opted-out of making
the transition to Microsoft Rewards.
