Changing recovery details

Sorry to know about that, Tanya. As long as you don't remove or sign out the account on his Xbox, he should still be able to use it. I am afraid that to get full control of his account, he must convince his father. I wish there was an easy option but since this is about account security, everything can only be managed by the user.

I feel sorry for what happened. I don't want you all to be in this kind of situation. We could actually request a change in his security information. Just a heads up that for security purposes, there's a waiting period of 30 days before it will take effect.

Simply sign in his account here https://account.microsoft.com/
Select Security at the top of the page, and then select Advanced security options. Before it takes you to the Security basics page, you'll be asked to verify his account, that's the time you will choose "I don't have any of these" since he cannot access those info. It should give you an option to add a new info which will be added after 30 days.

Thank you . I appreciate your response. My son fell out with his father and moved in with me. His father is being unpleasant and difficult and would not do this. My son is getting locked out of his accounts and we can not restore / change his passwords. He so far lost access to his email and Xbox . Is there no way around this at all ?

Thank you . We tried that. The father received notification and went and changed the password. My son currently lost access to his email . we are able to get his Xbox back up and running but its a matter of hours as his father goes and changes the password , basically cutting him off
