Changing Others can communicate with voice text or invites to Everybody on PC

[...] It says I need to change Others can communicate to everybody, with a link to the page. However, when I click on the link I have been redirected to a change settings on a child account page. I have never known of any "Adult" account being linked

That message about child accounts usually happens, if you are signed in on a child account (i.e. an account that is not yet of legal adult age according to the birthdate you have entered when you created the account).

If you have a child account, you will need an adult parent account that signs in on
https://account.microsoft.com/family and adds your child account to their adult family account.

Then the adult has to go to
https://account.xbox.com/settings and click on your child account. Then they can set up your child account's online and privacy settings accordingly.

That's not my question. Can you not Copy and Paste forums as well. I have done enough looking at stupid Microsoft help pages. They do not answer my question, I understand that you have a lot of questions to answer but people never put the time and effort
into these posts. It turns out I spent 3 hrs of my day and finally figured out where the setting was. Please fix the Microsoft website as you can't even log in on the Xbox webpage, the sign in button is broken and navigating to the privacy setting for Xbox
is a nightmare due to this. I had to go through edit account to view Xbox account and then go to privacy and turn on Communication from friends to everyone. Thanks but you didn't help.

Only a parent using the Microsoft family service can change Xbox privacy and online safety settings for a child account. If you're having trouble changing your child's settings, make sure your Microsoft account is a parent account in a Microsoft family.
See whether you're a child or an adult in a family by signing in at account.microsoft.com/family. To change your child's settings:

• Sign in to the Xbox settings page with the parent’s Microsoft account. You may be asked to verify that you're the account owner.
  If you're having issues signing in to a Microsoft account, go to
  Microsoft account help.
• Choose the gamertag for your child's account. If you want to update the privacy and online safety settings for the parent or adult account, choose that gamertag instead.
  
• Select theXbox One/Windows 10 Online Safety
  tab or the Privacy tab, review the settings currently in place and then update those you want to change.
  
• Select Save before leaving or switching to another tab. If you don't save the changes before you move to the other tab, your changes won't be saved.
  
• Have your child sign in and sign out of their account to make the changes take effect.

Thanks for coming to the forums with your issue. When they invite you, are they inviting you through the game itself? You can try and look through and post on the
Minecraft forums for help with the issue also. As they are on a different platform we don't have any troubleshooting for other platforms. Only thing we can advise on our side is to
make sure your privacy settings allow communication from cross platform.

To get to these go to settings>account>Privacy and online safety>Xbox live privacy>view details and customize>communication and multiplayer>there are two to make sure set to allow or everybody and a third for invites:

1. You can play with people outside of Xbox live----Allow
2. You can communicate outside Xbox live with voice and text--Everybody
3. Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites----Everybody

Would you please check your privacy settings. Go to account.xbox.com and then privacy settings. Select Communication & multiplayer. Under Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites, select Everybody. Also, please try signing in and out of your account.
