    Im using the app at the moment and setting up account and it has a odd name tag how can I change that, I looked on YouTube and it says to touch the three line in the upper left hand corner but the new apps does not have that, so how can I change the name tag in the newest app, thanks

    Not true, if he wants to change it he has to pay to have it changed you can have your name as a tag it is just not recommended to have your name as a tag, my name is in my tag, just not my full name.

    I agree with you, most other system (mainly PC) dont charge or have a time delayed change, microsoft insist it is to stop abuse of the system and to cover admin charges.

    they give the first name change free then each change after that costs.

    PSN charges also and so does battlenet on pc

    Thanks for coming to the forums. We understand have question on getting old tag back. In this case you would need to pay for the change to the old gamer tag. You can look over the

    gamer tag FAQ     for more information. There is a chance you will wont be able to get the old gamer tag back if it doesn't fit the new criteria.

    All players can take advantage of the new update (the first change is free). If you’re an existing player and want to change your gamertag, note that you may lose your previous gamertag permanently.
