There is some issue happening with the Xbox servers regarding gamerpics. Other users are reporting the same thing as you. I can only recommend you to wait a few days until it get fixed. You can also report the issue to the Xbox team:

- Please go to: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live-status

- Navigate down the page to "Services";

- Select the dropdown arrow for the service you are having issues now;

- Next to the dropdown arrow, select the three dots beside the correct category;

- Select "Report an outage" and submit your feedback.

2) If you can't reset it, go to
http://account.live.com/acsr SAVE THE EMAILS SENT TO YOU



3) If that fails, contact Support and provide them with the Console ID number from Settings | System | Console Settings | System Info (it's on the 2nd line) and the reference number from the email sent to you in Step 2, and submit a UE Request. It is
faster to have the Agent call you by going to
http://support.xbox.com/contact-us?xr=footnav#0:6:3 or you can look up the phone number from the 1st web link in the .sig shown below.

As BlurOfBlaze has pointed out you may want to
request a call from phone support, as sharing any information over the internet is not advised. You could look at these

solutions to see if you want to attempt handling these matters yourself, but as you seem concerned about having things becoming locked up. Requesting a call would be the best route to go.

Thanks for coming to the forums with your issue. There seems to be an issue after the last update with this. A lot have had the gamer pic change too. We recommend just being patient and see if in near future a patch comes out to resolve this.
