    Changing my Gamertag Doesn't Work


    I tried to change my Gamertag but every option wouldn't work and most of them are very unlikely to be someone else's.

    Whenever I try a different name it just comes up with 'This gamertag isn't allowed. Try a different one.'. I don't know why it isn't allowed but none of them are offensive in any way.

    My username was changed to GameDvrDisable for some reason

    It doesn't say anything about a forced Gamertag change and it says I've already used my free change? Is there a way I can see my Gamertag change history?

    That guide doesn't help. I've looked already, and it doesn't offer a solution for changing my current email linked to the gamertag to another one, in a situation where the currently linked email does not work any longer.
