Changing my birthday

Hi, my little brother who is 12 has just gave me his xbox as he doesn't want it anymore. His account is a child account and I need to change it to play online on NBA2k20 and to stream on mixer. Please can somebody help me because it is really annoying.
I am 19 by the way

To verify, a child account can't change their birthday, but an adult account CAN change their birthday if they so wish. I CAN change the birthday that's associated with my account, I CAN'T change the birthday associated with my daughter's child account.

If you can't prompt the account to an Adult it will be locked to that age.

Plus you can't change the account age

Create your new account with your email and set it up as you like!

It would be best to create your own account as accounts cannot transfer ownership. It's not possible to change the age of an account once it's been created.

Child accounts are tricky in that they involve a lot of steps in getting things to work. Try out this tutorial in getting access to content. It might be that it won't work, in which case we'll have to try something else.
