    Changing my avatar in the Wimdows 8.1 Games app


    I explored the Games app for Windows 8 but was unable to find an option to create and save a new Xbox LIVE avatar picture. I remember changing my Xbox LIVE avatar on the Xbox.com website in Windows 7, however when I click on the Avatar Editor section
    of the website I am redirected to the Games app for Windows 8. Am I missing something? This is a fundamental feature that I believe should be added to the Games app for Windows 8 as soon as possible if it isn't already.

    Changing my Xbox Live Avatar on Surface Pro 2

    I'm trying to change my avatar through my SP2, but I cannot find out how. I can access my avatar online, but when I click on items to change it says to launch the games app. I do that, but see nowhere to change my avatar. I'm on Windows 8.1.

    Cannot edit avatar from Games metro app in windows 8

    I was using Firefox, actually. I cannot find the change avatar button in the Games metro app. It simply is not there. I followed your instructions... and I cannot see Customize Avatar. Is it because I currently am on xbox live silver? Or does the Windows
    8.1 Preview Games metro app not have that feature? I shall try chrome... but I still want to figure out why I cannot do it from the metro app.

    Yep. You can't customize your avatar from the Games app in Windows 8.1. And it's pissing me off. Seriously, MS. Fix this.

    This is not working, after sign in for xbox.com, the link will only ask you to open the Game app to edit your avatar and the Game app is the one with all these issues since upgrading to win 8.1 though.
