changing length of subscription

Find your Solitaire subscription > Click on Manage > Click Change on the payment page next to “Has recurring billing.”

Click Change plan to change the subscription length.

If these options are not shown to you, it means the billing length cannot be changed for the subscription. So you will need to cancel it and subscribe again to an annual billing plan.

Thanks Smwutches. To clarify, does that mean that we'll be charged $1 for the promotion when we upgrade, then remain on a shorter, upgraded subscription till the expiry date without additional charges?

You'll be charged upfront (the $1 as long as you qualify for that promotion) and then you won't be charged again until pre-purchased time ends and then you would be charged per month (unless you extend your time before then or cancel/turn off recurring billing). The wording is just the default text for any time you would buy a sub.

If you don't want to renew after adding the sub, do not cancel. You will lose all of the time bought. Just turn off recurring billing.

If you qualify for the $1 promotion, then yes that is correct.

If you don't qualify, you will be charged the standard amount for Ultimate.
