Changing how my "microsoft-account is configured"

I have been trying to play minecraft Windows 10-edition with my friends from other consoles, but when i og into the game i am not allowed to add friends. it says that "you cannot add friends because of how Your Microsoft account is set up. This can be
changed in your privacy & online safety settings on aka.ms/accountsettings". When i og to that link im allways redirected to a page that tries to show me how to change a child privacy & online safety settings. When i try to og to the link to change those (account.xbox.com)
im redirected to the exact same page. I dont understand what to do. Please help as this is really anoying and i just want to play With my friends.

The downside is that, since those restrictions are in place, you'll likely need an Adult Microsoft Account in your Microsoft Family to make those changes for you. Do you have a parent with a Microsoft Account that is or can be added into your family to make
those changes? If you think you're old enough that you think you're account should be an Adult itself to make changes to your account then I would recommend checking that your

birthday for your account is set correctly.

Glad it's working. I'd make sure that the birthday is accurate. Otherwise that could cause issues for your account later on, which would be worth the inconvenience of having an adult modify permissions for your account that they are comfortable
with. Best to be accurate to avoid any problems.

Hi there

It sounds like you have a child account but are not part of a family. This is why its taking you too that page because it would be the adult account that would need too change those settings.

You would need too join a family with a parent account so they can change those settings and allow friends been added on the child account.

To change the privacy settings your account must be an adult account, otherwise you will not have access.

if your account is for a child, you need an adult account to link your account and manage your privacy settings
