Changing Gold Account to another

I am allowing my son to play content which is slightly older than he is, but he can't do any on line gaming or purchasing as the account he holds is for a child.

How can i change his Gold account to a young adults one so he can enjoy gaming with his friends which at the moment he can not do due to the age restrictions you have applied, which is only right.

Do i have to cancel his account and start it up again, or can i create a young adults account and transfer his current Gold to the new account?

It I understand your problem correctly, you could also switch your windows live Id for your gamertags. To link gamertag A to the windows live id from B and the other way around:

All you need to do is: Sign into his account > go to Settings > Account > Privacy

You will be able to change his privacy settings to allow him to play online multiplayer, and change any other setting if your wanting to do so as well.

You cant, unfortunately, change the age on the Xbox Gamertag. However, you can on the Microsoft Account but these two don't communicate the Date of Birth.
