Changing gameratag on windows, website doesnt work?

Guys I found a fix that worked for me. Weird but I changed my windows live password and then went back to try and redownload the profile and it worked. Login to xbox live website with your windows live id and change the password via their website. Let me

well no you cant check availability of a gamertag unless you actually try and change the name

sending a msg to the gamertag doesnt work becuase it doesnt cross servers

games for windows account and zune does use the same system but doesnt accept msgs well at lesst zune doesnt

if the systen says when you change the gamertag that it isnt available it isnt

you will have to be more creative like replacing letters with numbers or change the spelling

also spacing doesnt make a name different so is the samr as the same as ngoc pho for example

It doesnt give me an error code it just instantly closes and it doesnt work on either microsoft store or roblox website and every other game works

On your computer, go to Xbox.com and select Sign in. If there are issues with your account, the instructions will help resolve them. If you can't get past the login screen, select I forgot my password and follow the instructions.

If that doesn't work, select Start > Settings > Time & Language. Under Date and time, make sure the Set time automatically setting is turned on.

If none of these options work, select the Start button > Settings > Accounts, find the Microsoft account you used to sign in to the Xbox app, and select Remove. Then go back to the Xbox app and sign in with the Microsoft account you just removed.
