    Changing game pass gold to game pass standard


    I currently have an Xbox series S and a subscription to Game Pass Gold. However I want to change to a standard Game Pass account to save money. I understand the only way to do this is to close my GP gold account and open a new GP standard account. However if I do this will I be able to access all my saved games? Will opening a new account set all my progress to zero?

    Upgrade Xbox Live Gold to GPU [PC]

    It's a 1:1 ratio. Anytime you upgrade to Ultimate from standard Gold/Game Pass it's a ratio of 1:1. It's when you already have Ultimate and add standard Gold/Game Pass to it that the ratio changes.

    Yes. As long as you start with standard Gold/Game Pass, and then add Ultimate, it will convert at 1:1. It's only when you already have Ultimate and try to add standard Gold/Game Pass that the conversion rate changes.

    Do you have standard Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate? Gold is needed to play online. Gold is included with Game Pass Ultimate, but not standard Game Pass. So if you only have Game Pass, you either need to add Gold or upgrade to Game Pass Ultimate.

    Do you have standard Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate? You need Gold to play online. Standard Game Pass does not include Gold.

    Nothing has changed. The chart is what would happen if you already have Ultimate and are adding a prepaid Gold or standard Game Pass code to that. Otherwise, anytime you're upgrading from standard Gold or Game Pass to Ultimate, it's at a ratio of 1:1.
