    Changing email of xbox live account.


    Hello, I have two separate emails, both of which are Microsoft accounts. Let's call them X and S. I use e-mail X for contacting family, teachers and for use of apps like microsoft onenote. I use email S for services like Soundcloud and social media. The game Asphalt 9 prompted me to connect with xbox, otherwise I wouldn't be able to access multiplayer. I downloaded the xbox app and when I clicked to log in (to create an XBL account since I didn't have one already) it only let me use email X, which I didn't want. Microsoft store was connected to e-email X, so I signed out and connected with e-mail S instead and reset the xbox app. No such luck, xbox still only showed email X. I decided to connect through email X and try to change into email S later. Unfortunately, no such options seem to exist.

    TLDR:

    Email X is my personal email

    Email S is for entertainment services

    Email S is my store account and email X is my xbox live account, but I want to change to email S for my XBL account.

    My questions are:

    If I can change the email of my XBL account (keep in mind that both are outlook addresses)

    Or, if I can, at the very least, delete my current XBL account.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    To change the email in your xbox account, you need to change the email of your windows live ID.

    You can change the email address on this account to free up the email -
    support.xbox.com/.../manage-live-id

    Or you could recover this account to your xbox and change the gamertag.

    If by that you mean you want to change the primary email on your account (In other words, the email you log in with and receive emails with), there is a guide here that walks you through the process:

    the only thing you can change is the email address used to sign into a Microsoft Account (Xbox Live Account), this will only change the email address used to sign into the account. (It doesn't transfer the full Xbox Live Account to a different Microsoft
    Account)

    Changing gamertags, will only result in a different gamertag, it does not change the account or take any save game progress with it.

    Is the change sign-ing email address option what you seek or do you want to achieve something else?
